Whipper Snapper Monstrosity Birthday

Whipper Snapper Monstrosity image was stamped onto copic paper with Memento Tuxedo Black. It was then coloured with Copics (YR12,16,14,18, E07,09, BG12, 93,96,99). The image was then cut out using Spellbinders Classic Rectangles Large and then sponged with Tim Holtz Rusty Hinge while still in the die leaving a white edge. The image was then layered with some Bazzill brown CS and then some Recollections orange CS and added to the card with pop dots for dimension. The base of the card used Bazzill brown CS the a smaller square of the orange CS. The patterned papers used on the front and inside of the card were from My Mind's Eye "Stella and Rose" 6x6 paper pad. For a little interest I added a strip of brown CS cut with MS Dippity Doo punch which seemed to go with the monster image. The sentiment was from Kaiser Kraft Mini Sentiments and stamped onto a Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio Two die and the sponged in the same way as the image. It was then attached to the card using some Celebrate It Basics brown Grossgrain ribbon. The inside of the card was done using some of the coordinating paper from the same Stella and Rose paper pad.

Whipper Snapper Woodland Pals Christmas Cards

PPSS * I have copied this design from Tara Nixon of Creative Accents in Williams Lake. I hope she doesn't mind. They do say that copying someone elses work is the most sincere form of flattery. I hope she thinks so. I have made a few small changes but I loved her card so much I didn't really want to change anything. Tara - you are a very talented lady.

" Well, I finally finished these Christmas Cards. The stamps is Whipper Snapper "Woodland Pals". It was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black onto GinaK 120lb Luxury White Cardstock. I then coloured it with Copic Markers ( C1,3,5,7 E34,35,37,39, E30,31, B91,93,95,99. I then simply cut it into a rectangle and then sponged around the edges with Memento Dessert Sand and inked the edges with VersaColour Pinecone. I then mounted it onto Bazzil brown CS to frame the image. For a little added dimension I added some DecoArt Snow Writer to the hats and snow on the bottom and before it dried I sprinkled it with some Crystal Glitter Ritz Cool Highlights for a little sparkle. The rest of the card was completed with rectangles of patterned paper from the BoBunny "Snowfall" 6x6 paper pad. I distressed the edges of each of these pieces using Adirodack Acrylic Paint Dauber in Snow Cap. Then each piece was mounted again onto pieces of Bazzil Brown CS. All the pieces were layered onto a 6x6 Bazzil blue CS. For embellishments I used some "Merry Minis" glittery snowflakes I picked up a Michael's in their Christmas decoration section. I added some Kaiser Denium Pearls on the corner and to the snowflakes. The larger brown flower I picked up individually packed (I think they may have been from a Prima flower collection) and then daubed them with the paint dauber. The little brown flowers I purchased as a spray but had now blue flowers the right shade so I got out some white flowers and sprayed them with Glimmer Mist Frost and Smooch Spritz Sea Breeze. The insides of the cards are each a little different as I used up the paper pad. I cut the message out of plain white CS with Spellbinders using the largest of the Standard Circles Small and then layered it some Bazzil brown CS cut using Spellbinders larges of the Classic Scalloped Circles Small. The sentiment is called "Bright and Happy Holiday" by Impression Obession and then I inked and sponged the edges with Memento Dessert Sand for a more muted effect. I left space to be able to sign the card.

Flowers in a Vase

I have had this stamp for ions and never used it until I saw a card done with it on the internet. Once I used it, it has become one of my favourites. I believe it was a Hero Arts stamp - one of the first stamps I ever bought. I stamped it with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured the image with copics. Pink and green is one of my favourite colour combos and love this patterned paper. Unfortunately I got a bit too sloppy when I distressed the edges of the Spellbinder (I know distressing is not meant to be neat but this was a little too messy). Used some of the pattern paper on the card inside as well. Love the soft effect of the second card. I did softer, more delicate colouring on the image for it. The embossing on the background cardstock really gives a lovely effect I think and like the labels and ovals from Spellbinders for the image and sentiment.

iCopicLover Challenge #6-Fight for a Cure

The colour combo for this challenge was to use pink, white and black and to include a pink ribbon somewhere on the card. I choose to use a Magnolia stamp coloured her dress pink and grey and did her hair black. The copics I used are: R81, R83, RV000, E11, E00, E000, R20, C9, C7, C5, C3, C2, C1, C00. I cut the image and frame with Spellbinders Nestabilities and used the Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder to emboss the frame and then edged all pieces with black ink. I embellished the card with some pink roses and flowers and pale pink pearls. The wedding section is always a good place to check out flowers, pearls, etc. that can be used for embellishments. I added a sentiment done on the computer and then added the pink ribbon stamp to complete the card.

Monochromatic Challenge

This card I made for the CMC Copic Challenge group. It was to be monochromatic. The image is Magnolia with Hair Bow and coloured with copics - E11, E00, E000, E49, E44, E43, E42, E41, E59, E53, E25. I used cream, sand, and light brown cardstock along with Adornit Carolee's Creations Wild West Stripes, Basic Grey Basics "Rule" and "Lineup". The image was cut out using Spellbinder's Nestabilities and framed with the light brown also cut with the nesties. The inside of the image was sponged with Dessert Sand ink and the edges of the papers were torn and distressed with pinecone ink. Flowers and pearls were added for embellishment.

iCopic Challenge #5

This Halloween card I did for iCopic Challenge #5. The requirements were to use the Halloween colours of black, purple and orange. The stamp is Kraftin Kimmie's "Fred and Ginger". The image was coloured with copics - C9, C7, C5, V17, V15, V12, E18, E39, E99, YR23, E11, E00, E000, R20, R89, R85, C2, C1, C00. The image was cut out and embossed using Spellbinders Labels 8, the inside was sponged with London Fog and the edge inked with Tuxedo Black. The next purple layer was also cut with spellbinders Labels 8 largest die and then the orange was cut by tracing the outside edge of the largest die and hand cut. Then the black layer was cut the same was using a double pencil 1/4" tracer. The striped paper is from Basic Grey Eerie collection. A border trim was added using Martha Stewart border punch. This was all mounted on black and then put onto orange CS. For embellishment I added a chandelier and bats cut with the Slice die cut machine. I then added some orange gems to the chandelier to look like lights.

Sarah Kay Anniversary Card

Boy, I seem to be on a roll. Decided to get a jump start on some cards I need for upcoming events. This is one I made for my daughter and her husband's anniversary coming up in October. The image is a Stampavie Sarah Kay stamp called First Kiss. It was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Copics - E11,E00,E49, E59,E57,E25,E55,E53,YG99,YG95,Yg93,YG91,W00,W2,W3,BG72,BG11,BG10,R20,R00. The image was cut and embossed with Spellbinder's Nestabilities Labels 8. then I sponged the edges with Memento London Fog. I used some Bronze shimmer paper to frame the image. I had to trace the Labels 8 and cut it out by hand. The card base was a cream Bazzill Bling cardstock. The patterned paper was Basic Grey Cappella collection and I inked all the edges with versa colour pinecone for a distressed look and make them pop a little more. I added some flowers from Making Memories Mocha collection, coloured a cheap dollar store brad with copic to match the colours. The leaves were punched and then I added some green sheer ribbon. The inside of the card was finished with some scraps from the patterned paper and Happy Anniversary was stamped on the inside.

iCopic Challenge #3-Pink/Red/White Tilda

This is a card I made for the iCopic Challenge #3. You were to use Pink, Red and White in the card. I began with a burgundy red card stock by Prisma along with some white cardstock by Bazzill. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey "Indian Summer" collection. The stamp is Magnolia "Tilda with Hair Bow" which I stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Copics - E11,E00,E000,R20,R89,R85,R83,R81,E99,E97,Y21,Y11,YG99,YG95,YG93,YG91,C3,C1,C00. The image was cut and embossed using Spellbinders Nestabilities Ovals and Scalloped Ovals. The edge was sponged with Memento Angel Pink, the wings were done with Clear Star Gelly Roll pen and I added 3 white half pearls along with white satin ribbon.

Standing Tilda

Just finished this card and pleased with the results except for a little smudging I hadn't planned on and if I did it again I would move the image and the patterned paper it is on down some more. It seems a little top heavy to me. Anyway, the image is a Magnolia stamp called "Standing Tilda with Hair Bow". It was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured with copics - E11,E00,E000,R20,E49,E59,E25,E53,E41,E42,E43,E44,Y21,Y23,Y26,YR23,YG99,YG95,YG93,YG91. Then the image was cut and embossed using Spellbinders Nestabilities Petite Oval Small. The inside edges were sponged with Versa Magic Sage and the edges of the papers were rubbed with Memento Rich Cocoa. The patterned papers were from My Mind's Eye "Home" collection. The orange paper was embossed with my cuttlebug and the swiss dot folder. The green polka dot paper was cut with Spellbinder's nestablilities scalloped ovals. The base of the card is a green Bazzill cardstock. I embellished with Prima flowers, the leaves and pearls spray were from the dollar store, and the the green half pearls are from Basic Grey Opaline collection.

Bearing Gifts

This card used a Whipper Snapper stamp called "Bearing Gifts". The image was coloured in using copics - B26, B24, B21, C7, C5, Y15, Y13, YG25, YG23, YG21, R29, R27, R24, V99, V95, V93, YG99, YG95, B0000. The image was cut and embossed using Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 8 and then I sponged the edges with Dessert Sand ink. Deep red and white Bazzill cardstock was used along with pattern paper from s.e.i., a collection called Christmas Mint.

Blue Christmas

This is a card I just finished for Christmas in August. The stamp is called "Snow is Overrated" by Whipper Snapper. He was coloured with copics -B95, B93, B91, B0000, B97, YR14, YR12, E59, E57, E55, E11, E00. The image was cut out using Nestabilities rectangles and then I sponged the edges with Sky Blue dye ink. I added a little sparkle to the snow with the Quickie Glue Pen and Crystal Ritz Cool Highlights glitter. I used white, navy and brown Bazzill cardstock along with patterned paper called Snowflake Blue by Daisy D. The snowflakes were punched out and then I added come clear crystal gems to the centres. I finished the inside of the card with coordinating papers and more snowflakes and then added a white piece cut with Nestabilities Label 8 to have a space to add a note.

Lil Snowman-iCopic Challenge #1

Just entered this card into the first iCopic challenge. Challenge was to include gold, brown and ivory in the project. Enjoyed colouring this image called Lil Snowman by Victoria Case. I used copic markers - E18, E19, E17, E13, E11, R29, R27, G24, G21, G20, R24, R22, C7, C5, E29, E27, E25, E15, B0000, and used some Stickles Frosted Lace for the snow. The papers are from the Basic Grey Wassail collection.

Retirement Cards-Mummu by Mo Manning

These are two cards I made for people retiring. I used the stamp by Mo Manning (Stampavie) called Mummu. I thought it looked like someone happily walking away.

High Hopes Colour Challenge #80

Here is a card I am submitting for the High Hope Colour Challenge #80 using blue, brown/kraft and cream. The image is High Hopes Troubled Travis.

Baby Card

A Kraftin Kimmie stamps called Charlotte with Dolls was used for this card to send to my niece Eva for the birth of their second - a little girl. The image always make me smile at having to juggle two kids. The image was coloured with copics (E11,E00,E000,E21,R20,C9,C7,C5,C3,R85,R83,R81,YG95,YG93,YG91, B0000). I also coloured and cut out a little doll and popped it up for added interest. The image was cut and embossed with Spellbinders Nestabilities, and then shadowed with pink ink. The paper used were Pebbles "My Girl Tiny Flower", Pebbles "My Girl Stripe", Creative Imaginations "Sonnets Blush" as well a pink Bazzill card stock. Prima flowers were layered and secured with pink brads. A few pink brads were added on the other side for balance.

House Mouse Make A Wish

This card was made for Joanne's birthday. I used a stamp from House Mouse designs called Make A Wish and coloured it with copics. The papers were from a collection called Back Country. I embellished with Prima flowers and a brown button centre. Spellbinders nestabilities were used to cut and embossed edge of image and well as for the frame. The card was assemble into an easel style card.

May Bday Cards

Here are some cards I made for our Lunch Bunch May birthday gals. I used a Kraftin Kimmie stamp for two of the cards called Josephine Love Potion and coloured them with copic markers. These were both stand up "Easel Cards".

Birthday Truck

Here is a card I made for my brother's birthday. The old truck stamp is from Great Impressions. I coloured it with copics - E50, E53, E35, E47, C1, YG91, G85, G99, B91, B24. Birthday Wishes stamp was Studio G image which I stamped using Versa Color pinecone ink and them embossed with clear powder. I used Brown, Dusty blue, and navy Bazzill cardstock. The patterned paper was called Aged and Confused "Vagabond" -striped and silk nectie. I think it might have been a Basic Grey paper but it was just scraps and that part was cut off. I distressed all edges with the pinecone ink and added pewter metal photo corner and some small pewter brads. The stamped truck was cut out using Nestabilities ovals and scalloped ovals to mat it. I used Color Box Creamy Brown Chalk ink to edge the truck oval.

Happy "Wonderful" Birthday

My latest card creation using Penny Black's Wonderful stamp collection. I also used Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder and Happy Birthday mini embossing folder on the card. Spellbinder Nestabilities scalloped oval and plain oval were used to frame the stamped image which I hand coloured using copic markers. I also stamped and coloured an image on the inside of the card as well as on the envelope.
